Monte da Cabeça Gorda, an old olive oil press, makes us believe that the modern architecture language and the respect on the traditional lines can assemble in the same space and in harmony!

We found this property, near Alcáçovas and soon understood that here it is easy to surrender to the spirit of Aletenjo! In this place of real escape we find ourselves surrounded by tradition: the huge chimneys, the intense blue stripes, which match the sky and the pool water that call for a swim!

The dining room is the place where everyone gathers for breakfast – it used to be the old main house! The old shelters for the animals where transformed in confortable double bedrooms with a nice terrace with pool view. The apartments dispay a bedroom, living room and kitchenette and took the place of the old agricultural barn overtaken by the technological evolution…





A walk around the farm where you can find a glazed title dated from th 18th century on the noble entrance of the property, the old comunity shaft and their furnace terrace!

A visit to Évora, World Heritage, only 30 Km's away. Don't miss the Roman Temple, the Cathedral, the Bone chapel and the University! Before leaving, make a stop at Praça do Giraldo and taste one of the traditional cheese cakes at café Arcádia!
