Refúgio da Vila, located in Portel, is an ancient manor house dating from the 19th century, today totally restored.

Without leaving this small town you can visit the North of Africa, through the fresh painted panels in one of the halls that leads to the rooms, brought by Amaral, the first owner of this property.

We cannot forget to mention the magnificent ceiling in Suite do Paço, which is the symbol of this manor house, where the comfort and quality are the main invitation for everyone that arrives.



Enjoy the magnificent view of the medieval Castle from one of the windows, which deserves a visit or at least some photographs.

Visit Portugal through its sky with the photographs hanged on the walls of the house.

Take a traditional cooking lesson with Chef Miguel.

Visit the biological-garden of Mr Zé Hortelão, who cultivates the pumpkins, oranges, tomatoes, pomegranate and lettuces which you can taste in the Restaurant.
